Here's what Linda Luke wrote about this guide:

I have become a fan of this series of books about writing heartfelt letters, and this is one of my favorites. Many of the older people in our lives are lonely and sometimes depressed. I have witnessed people light up when I share a letter I have written to them, and this is now something I intend to do regularly.

I have recently lost a friend who was ill for a long time. In the first couple years of her illness, she received letters from friends that she cherished and asked me to read over and over again. As time went by, she received fewer letters and felt more isolated. This experience has reminded me that what takes me a short time to do can mean the world to someone else, especially when they are older and feel alone.

We all could write more heartfelt letters to the people in our lives, and this guide makes it easy. Believe me, taking a little time to write those letters can make all the difference in the world.
